The Cascade Cycling Classic is one of the longest running races in the US. A couple factors made this an appealing target for me. First, Cascade is an NRC stage race with a Cat 2 only field, seemed an ideal opportunity to snag some upgrade points....

Seriously, to all those paying attention, one of Kam's many great attributes as a coach is his willingness to pay random women to come shout their support during hard workouts. This and his multitasking ability of videoing, driving, dodging pedest...
Good lord. What this video doesn't get across is the tingling feeling you get in your ears after severe oxygen deprivation.

What this video doesn't highlight is Kam's supreme motor pacing driving ability. Smooth as butter, the whipped kind.
